I'll look in...Thanks for the great idea, Molly. I'll look into Groupon and see what I can find. However, off the top of my head, I would go with grape varietals that you know you like. For instance, if Adam and I are in a wine store or grocery or something and we aren't sure what to get, we'll go decide if we're in a red or white mood, then look at Malbecs, Meritages, or Tempranillos (reds) or Gewurztraminer or Moscatos (whites). Once we see a varietal that we like, we'll go with a good price (and avoid certain brands like Yellow Tails). I'm also a bit of European wine snob, so you won't catch me with many California wines...but that's a personal preference. :)

Thanks for the great ideas!! Will and I are doing this for the second time around, but we feel like we're flying blind when we read the descriptions online, since there are no customer testimonies. Is there a better, clearer-headed way to get the best bang for your buck? Or should a Groupon groupie feel confident in the relatively low-risk venture of buying from a reputable company, like Barclay's? Might be a good entry topic :-)Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14840553103262381870noreply@blogger.com
